Windows Mobile - fixing slow input method switching

I am using Motorola A3100 and input method switching is very slow recently. It normally takes around 5 seconds before the input methods are listed for my selection.

With a bit of web searching, I noticed others have similar problem and it could be fixed by the following simply procedure,
  1. stop all applications on the device
  2. start a registry editor
  3. rename registry entry HKCR/CLSID to a something else (e.g. CLSIDx)
  4. rename the entry back to CLSID
  5. close the registry editor
I don't know why but it fixed my problem. I am using RHM Registry Editor to do the rename. Don't turn off your machine during the operation.

IMPORTANT: The registry is an important component in Windows Mobile. Do it carefully and if in doubt, don't do it. Be prepared to re-install your device from scratch and make sure you know the procedure to un-brick your device if that happens.
