Two tips using Olevia HD box

Below two other tips you may find useful.

Recording files split into 15-min files - Olevia confirm this is a problem with their latest firmware 1.7.2. Solution:
  1. Downgrade to the previous patch
  2. Use your computer to format your harddisk using ext3 format. Don't use the settop box to format. This works for me.
Unable to switch on your settop box - you will likely to have this problem if your building has readjust the channels and your are using HDMI cable. What you have to do is to reconnect your box to your TV using the normal AV cable. And then, it should start up properly and you could re-tune all stations. After that, you could use the HDMI connection again.
